Sequoia National Park Engagement Session // Marilu + Christian
– Marilu & Christian –
Currently staying home during the pandemic and dreaming about this dreamy Sequoia National Park engagement session. I realize adventures like these are what keep me going and looking forward to the future. Can’t wait till we get outside and play with nature like this again.
If you love giant trees then Sequoia National Park and Redwood NP should definitely be on top of your list! I think Sequoia is more feasible since it’s located in the central part of the state. Sequoia is truly a gem in the Sierra Nevada Mountains! It’s known for its huge trees and home of the largest living sequoias in the world! A walk among the giants here is like a trip back in time.
Christian & Marilu were such a loving and adventurous couple. They’ve been traveling to many amazing places from backpacking the Canadian Rockies, traveling around the Western States for their anniversary, every day is a new adventure to them. So when we met, there was just an immediate connection between us! Southern California didn’t have much snow, so a dreamy Sequoia National Park engagement sounded really exciting!
The drive was kind of long (6 hours from San Diego), putting the chains on wasn’t that fun, our hands were numb. However, none of that matters as we saw the park covered in snow! Normal landscapes transformed into a different world after a dozen of switchbacks. It’s just magical, something that you can fully appreciate by seeing it in person. We had to make a pit stop every 5-10 mins because it was so captivating. We were like kids all over again: screaming, jumping, licking snow lol. Suffering the cold had never been this exciting! Needless to say, we had a wonderful time!
Marilu and Christian’s connection also made my heart warm! The way they played with and care for each other was the kind of special soup I need for this kind of weather! We left the park feeling in awe and grateful. A hot bowl of pho is much needed!
PS: Marilu is currently working in frontline healthcare and is risking her life battling this pandemic. Knowing that she might get the virus herself, she even distanced herself with loved ones while kept on fighting. Much love and respect for her! I hope we can do our part to overcome this hardship together!
